Reporting the Farm Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting administrative and operational activities throughout the summer. The position starts in May and finishes the end of August 2024.
Hourly Pay: $17-18/hr
Qualifications
- Enrolled in Post Secondary Education or graduating from post secondary education in Spring 2024.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience in agriculture considered an asset but not necessary.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
- Capable of working extended hours during peak season.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting management by assisting with day-to-day administrative duties such as data entry and record keeping.
- Field work such as collecting soil samples, tissue sampling and crop scouting.
- Assist with on farm initiatives such as data collection from research trials, weather stations and other ag related monitoring systems.
- Work in collaboration with local industry partners such as watershed groups.
- Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
- All other duties as assigned.
