Grounds Caretaker

We are seeking candidates for a seasonal part-time role as a Grounds Caretaker (June 1 - October 15, 2024) at a private residence in the greater Saint John, New Brunswick area. This role is ideal for an individual who wants to work approximately 20 - 25 hours a week with flexibility in schedule. Preference for candidates that have certification in horticulture and capability with plant identification. Hourly compensation rate will be determined based on qualifications/experience. 

Qualifications:

• • Gardening experience with plants, shrubs, and lawncare is required

  • Strong attention to detail and quality

  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

  • Valid driver’s license is required 

Key Responsibilities:

• • Maintain the property’s landscape environment with all trucks, tools, equipment and supplies provided by property owner:
    • Watering
    • Weeding and deadheading
    • Hedge and shrub trimming
    • Separating and transplanting perennials
    • Spring planting, fall and winter preparation
    • Weeding, feeding, fertilizing, and providing lime as appropriate
