Our trucking divisions, RST and Sunbury Transport, specialize in tank, van, flatbed, bulk wood fibre, or container service across Atlantic Canada, Ontario, Quebec and the eastern United States. With over 500 miles of mainline, sidings and yard tracks in New Brunswick and Maine, NBM Railways provides efficient freight transportation, maintenance and mechanical series. Our marine divisions, Atlantic Towing Limited, Harbour Development Marine Contractors, and Kent Line, specialize in the provision of a wide range of marine services, including port tug services, coastal towing, offshore oil and gas exploration, dredging, construction, surveying and production support. In addition to conveying cargo in line with top tier industry standards, JDI Logistics provides third-party logistics for customers around the globe.

Our division is currently seeking a Commercial Analyst located in our Saint John, N.B head office.

Reporting to the Senior Divisional Director, the Commercial Analyst is responsible for working closely with the each of the transportation and logistics companies to facilitate the execution of key Divisional commercial strategy, with particular emphasis on achieving business plan goals for revenue growth and revenue diversification as well as profitability enhancement through establishing pricing frameworks.



  • Education Required: 
    • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration or similar discipline with an emphasis on marketing
  • Experience in B2B sales or marketing roles would be an asset.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to make a significant contribution to performance and profitability;
  • Strong analytical and financial skills 
  • Effective communication style with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams 
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a challenging, fast-paced environment;
Key Responsibilities:
  • Working with the businesses, participate in the development of annual Sales and Marketing plans 
  • Support the development and deployment of Divisional pricing processes and strategy designed to improve margin and profitability;
  • Drive the effective utilization of CRM, sales training and other commercial tools designed to improve sales force effectiveness to enable growth across the division
  • Provide input on integrated marketing including usage of social media, web sites, literature and brand standards.
  • Develop meaningful analytics that foster strategic thinking regarding the most significant sales and margin growth opportunities relative to industry and competitive trends;
  • Provide customer and market insights through business intelligence reports
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the marketing and sales process
