Cavendish Agri Services supports farmers in growing healthy and productive crops. We have 13 manufacturing/retail locations throughout Atlantic Canada and Maine. Our primary products include fertilizers, crop protectants and technical expertise.


Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Branch Manager will be responsible for execution of the organization’s strategy within the geographical division, as well as lead the overall day-to-day management of the Presque Isle operations. A proven track record of business leadership and administration, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to work well under pressure and the ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment is crucial. He/she will be a results-driven, self-starter with a “Can Do” attitude who will be innovative in dealing with problems and in identifying and taking advantage of all opportunities.


A successful candidate will possess a combination of the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business; or an acceptable combination of education and experience. Experience in the agriculture industry would be an asset but is not required.
  • 5 years progressive management experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Strong motivational skills with a collaborative “lead by example” approach and a desire to win 
  • Demonstrated experience developing business plans and executing within budget requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work variable hours due to seasonal nature of the business
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the Presque Isle, Houlton, and Fort Fairfield facilities and technical services
  • Provide a clear vision, guidance, and assistance to both the Operations and Sales teams
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement projects to support company objectives
  • Oversee the hiring and supervision of staff
  • Develop and oversee the execution of the operations plan for the branch
  • Ensure production reliability, quality assurance, and accurate inventory control
  • Represent the company in a professional, positive, and pleasant manner
