Cavendish Agri Services supports farmers in growing healthy and productive crops. We have 13 manufacturing/retail locations throughout Atlantic Canada and Maine. Our primary products include fertilizers, crop protectants and technical expertise.


Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Branch Manager will be responsible for leading the overall day-to-day management of the Central PEI operations. The successful candidate will be a results-driven, self-starter with a “Can Do” attitude who will be innovative in dealing with problems and in identifying and taking advantage of opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of the Travelers Rest, Kensington and New Annan facilities, Spreading and Technical Services 
  • Provide a clear vision, guidance and assistance to both the Operations and Sales Teams 
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication between operations and sales in an effort to provide quality products and service
  • Identify and execute Continuous Improvement projects to support company objectives
  • Build and manage relationships with key customers and lead the acquisition of new customers 
  • Oversee the hiring and supervision of staff
  • Develop and oversee the execution of the operations plan for the branch
  • Ensure production reliability, quality assurance and accurate inventory levels
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Technology or Engineering; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Agricultural Science / experience is considered an asset.
  • 3 – 5 years progressive management experience
  • Demonstrated experience planning and carrying out duties within budget requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Collaborative “lead by example” team player with a desire to win and strong motivational skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work variable hours depending on the time of year
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software
  • Mechanical knowledge is an asset
