Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States, and around the world. We have state-of-the-art potato processing plants in Prince Edward Island, Lethbridge, Alberta, and Jamestown, North Dakota, and an appetizer plant in Wheatley, Ontario. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, "Can Do" attitude and be able to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment.



  • Years of Experience Preferred: 2-5 years of related work experience
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Willingness to work 12 hour shifts
  • Willingness to complete food safety, and other job training and comply with SQF standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Bagger Operator Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, clean, and maintain the bagger area
  • Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust ishida scales in order to obtain proper bag weights and efficiencies
  • Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust baggers in order to achieve proper bag lengths, seals and codes
  • Perform and record metal detector checks; adjust bag settlers as needed to reduce breakage and case conditions; setting up, operating, monitoring, and adjusting blueprints and the wexxar; scraping off cross feeders and scales as needed; loading and unloading cases as necessary
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area and also assist other personnel as needed to maintain the same conditions in the processing area
