Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States, and around the world. We have state-of-the-art potato processing plants in Prince Edward Island, Lethbridge, Alberta, and Jamestown, North Dakota, and an appetizer plant in Wheatley, Ontario. Our Head office is in Dieppe, New Brunswick and has sales office locations in Toronto, Montreal, and Boston. 


Reporting to the Supply Planning Manager, the Master Planner is responsible to manage resource capacity load to optimize inventory, service, and total cost while respecting operational parameters. The Master Planner will develop and maintain near term and long term plans to achieve and exceed customer service expectations, sales, inventory, and asset utilization goals. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a “can do” attitude, and will thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and detail.



  • Education Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Operations Management or Engineering or in another field with applicable experience
    • APICS: Professional Association for Supply Chain & Operations Management, considered an asset 
  • Years of Experience Required:
    • 3-5 years’ experience in Supply Chain (Logistics, Demand, Production, Customer Service)
    • Experience/knowledge in inventory management & change management
  • Process oriented with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated time management, problem solving, analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while delivering on-target result
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, in particular MS Excel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop supply plans each week following a weekly master planning process
  • Ensure all supply plans are delivered in a timely and accurate manner, following agreed to operational parameters.
  • Ensure all supply plans are optimized by balancing service, inventory, and cost
  • Manage resource capacity proactively and identify issues and opportunities
  • Identify service risks and take appropriate action for resolution
  • Continually look for improvement within the process
  • Understands factors contributing to KPI’s and identify areas for improvement
  • All other duties as assigned
