OVERHEAD CRANE TECHNICIAN

CFM is an integrated provider of support to the world’s most demanding industries. We manufacture, service, and install our customers highly specialized system. We have multiple facilities in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia to serve Atlantic Canada, the North Eastern US, and the World.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an Overhead Crane Technician.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Electrical or Industrial Millwright ticket considered an asset
• 10,000 hours of crane servicing experience considered an asset
• Class 5 Drivers License required
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
• Willing and able to work at heights up to 125 feet

Key Responsibilities:

• Be able to work as part of a team or when needed individually
• Conduct quality crane inspections and complete all necessary paperwork required
• Be available for “on-call” breakdown work
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and electrical code specification to determine equipment layout
• Complete both electrical and mechanical servicing of lifting equipment
• Preform Inspections to CSA B167, CMAA, and provincial regulations
• Consult customer with inspection results and or repairs and modifications
• Assess, repair, and modify lifting equipment as required
• Ensure customer logs are maintained updated with completed inspections and servicing
• Oversee, train, and monitor junior staff
• Approve and sign off on all inspection reports and crane certifications
• Test each crane repair for complete functionality
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other general maintenance duties on lifting equipment
