We have an upcoming need for an outstanding Availability, Reliability, and Maintainability (AR&M) Specialist.

We are now in an important stage in our growth and are looking for talented individuals to bring skills and abilities to one of Canada's largest marine engineering integrators, as we lead the way in Canadian naval defence contracts (in service support) and new government ship design and support, including warships, ferries, ice-breakers and commercial vessels.

Our AR&M Specialist will direct and coordinate AR&M activities designed to provide subcontractors, management, and customers AR&M data deliverables to influence design and servicing of products, systems or equipment by performing the following duties and having the following qualifications:


Qualifications we’d like you to have:

  • Education preferred for this role is a combination of experience and education encompassing EITHER a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a Certification in Engineering Technology 
  • Years of Experience Required: 
    • 5+ years of experience in the application of AR&M analysis. 
    • Complimentary experience in Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) a definite asset.
  • Proficient with military and commercial AR&M and LSA specifications.
  • Expertise with computer techniques and models for reliability analysis, modeling, prediction, allocations. 
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian government security clearances.

What you’ll spend your time working on:

  • The majority of your time will be spent working on a variety of analyses and calculations including reliability prediction, reliability block modeling, failure mode effects and criticality analysis, reliability centered maintenance, availability prediction and maintainability prediction. You should also have a firm grasp on Weibull analysis.
  • You will lead the way on condition based maintenance techniques and applying them to maintenance profiles for systems and equipment.
  • You’ll also analyze contractual commitments, customer specifications, design changes, and other data to plan and develop AR&M activities from conceptual stage through life cycle of product.
  • Performing special research or technical studies critical to AR&M, RCM, maintenance and logistic support functions.
  • Utilizing computer techniques and models for analysis, simulation or information systems and documentation.
  • Mentoring team members in the field of AR&M.
