DIRECTOR, ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Irving Consumer Products produces branded and private label bathroom tissue, facial tissue, paper towels, as well as napkins.

 

The Director of Organizational Development (OD) is responsible for leading the people development and organizational development strategies to enable growth of both of our employees and the organization. This position provides leadership in managing innovative human resources strategies to support organizational growth that will assist ICP in realizing our 2030 vision.

The OD plays a key role in assessing current and future state talent needs, recommending optimizations to organizational structure, and determining development activities. They will act as an internal consulting partner supporting the areas of organizational development, team development, and coaching across our business. This position works collaboratively with the Human Resources team to build and execute programs and processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leads OD initiatives, interventions, projects, and programs to build capacity and effectiveness at both the plant level and organization wide. 
  • Working closely with the VP of HR to build the talent pipelines from emerging, established and executive talent to provide robust succession plans Consults with stakeholders to assess needs and offer recommended solutions to their challenges. 
  • Facilitates team performance improvement and associated change initiatives. 
  • Partnering with Human Resource Business Partners to coach people leaders and co-lead projects and initiatives.
  • Build and deploy development programs that deliver sustainable results. 
  • Oversees and assists HR Team with any new technology implementation and optimization for development practices, IE: ELM Leads career pathing/aspirational conversation/succession planning process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial / Organizational Psychology, Organization Development or a related field is required
  • 12+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven track record of leading Organization Development initiatives
  • Effective at leading change through influence 
  • Strong customer focus and results orientation
  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Coaching education and experience required
  • Familiarity with HR systems, including learning management system
  • Project management experience, preferred
