PILE DRIVING LEAD HAND 

 

Irving Equipment Limited is a well-established Heavy Lift and Specialized Transport company with a diverse fleet of mobile and crawler cranes, SPMTs, and other specialized transport and lifting equipment with locations in Saint John, New Brunswick, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and several other branches around Atlantic Canada and the United States.

We are currently seeking applicants for the position of PILE DRIVING LEAD HAND to join our fast-paced, dynamic team in Saint John, New Brunswick.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mobilization/demobilization – lead crew in A&D of cranes and pile driving equipment
  • Responsible for driving piles and meeting production requirements
  • Read and interpret construction plans, pile orientations, other relevant and related information
  • Working closely with operators, riggers and pile driving management
  • Supervise and coordinate sub-contractors
  • Work closely with supervisor, in determining equipment and methodology for carrying out job scope
  • Lead crew in the yard including loading and unloading equipment
  • Maintain organized records, events onsite, pile logs, daily activities
  • Drive safety culture by identifying potential hazards and addressing them
  • Working with subcontractors and consultants’ site, pile splicing, pile testing, coordination of work

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Construction or Equipment industry with knowledge of cranes and rigging
  • Must be willing to become a member/or be a member of Local 946
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Ability to strive in a fast-paced environment
  • Very technical and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
