Papermachine Operator
We currently have an exciting opportunity to work as an Operator within our Papermill Operations Department.
As an Operator, you will follow a scheduled shift in a unionized environment. Over time, you will move up in seniority and be given increased responsibility for operating the equipment. Responsibilities include:
- Providing relief to the Papermill Operations group
- Operation of cranes and forklifts
- Operation of chemical systems used in the production of paper
- Cleaning of machine during shutdowns
- Assisting other operators in the production of paper
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

You Have:
- Education Required: Completed 2 years post-secondary education. Preference given to those within a related field: Process Control Technology / Chemical Technology / Mechanical Technology / Electrical Engineering Technology / Industrial Control Technology / Powering Engineering
- Experience working in an operating position in a manufacturing facility would be an asset
- Works safely and adheres to all safety policies
- Must be medically fit and physically capable of manual labor
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Displays initiative and flexibility
- Demonstrates a great sense of urgency
- Understands and is able to demonstrate analytical problem solving and decision making.
- Works well in a team environment
