The Lead Planner is responsible for the planning and scheduling of the production lines including raw materials and packaging materials for the business. This includes data management to enable accurate and efficient planning, supervision of other planners, and the distribution of workload amongst all planners.



  • Education Required: Bachelor's Degree and /or Supply Chain Management Accreditation
  • Years of Experience Required: 2-5 years of related experience
  • Advanced computer and application skills, including expert knowledge of Excel.
  • Warehouse, Planning, and Production knowledge considered an asset.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Statistical data experience considered an asset. 
  • Familiar with traffic and distribution systems and procedures
  • Experience leading a team considered an asset 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning and scheduling production, ensuring all raw materials are here to meet schedule
  • Building a team environment focusing on engagement within your department
  • Planning and maintaining adequate inventories of both raw materials and finished product
  • Working with Corporate Planning to ensure that customer needs are met
  • Interfacing with a variety of departments such as; operations, maintenance, material handling, warehouse, shipment planning, finance and customer service
  • Interfacing with material suppliers
  • Work with Corporate Packaging to minimize write-offs for transitional items
