The Manager, Human Resources will be based out of Dieppe, New Brunswick (100 Midland Drive, E1A 7G9). Reporting directly to the Plant Manager of the facility and indirectly to the VP Human Resources, Irving Consumer Products; this Managerial position encompasses all the key Human Resource functions. The HR Manager will be responsible for the effective delivery of all HR processes and HR fundamentals for the site. This role is key in driving a high-performance culture and fostering and promoting our Leadership Behaviors. This is a permanent, full-time position. 
The primary language of work is English.

Job Requirements
  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree of Business, Human Resources preferred.
  • Years of Experience Required: 7-10 years progressive HR experience; experience in a manufacturing environment considered an asset.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team oriented
  • Ability to teach, mentor, and coach.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics.
  • CPHR preferred.
 
The main duties/responsibilities of this role include:
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provides support and guidance to leaders and employees when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Ensure that various HR programs are effectively delivered, including performance management, capability development, employee engagement, disability management and onboarding.
  • Ensure HR fundamentals and HR processes are delivered on time with the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborates with the Recruitment team and hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings and plan for current and future workforce needs.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Promotes and supports learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversees performance management processes, including employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and provincial employment laws and regulations.
