OPPORTUNITIES FOR ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIANS

branded and private label bathroom tissue, facial tissue, paper towels, and
napkins. Consumers know us by our Scotties® Facial Brand. Our manufacturing facilities are located in
Dieppe, New Brunswick, Toronto, Ontario, Fort Edward, New York, and Macon,
Georgia.
Irving Tissue is looking
for a variety of Maintenance roles such as Steamfitter/Pipefitters,
Millwrights, Mechanics, Electrical and
Instrumentation Technicians and Journeyperson
Electricians. The successful candidates will have a "Can Do"
attitude, are passionate about achieving results and driving improvement.
Examples of Responsibilities (Role Dependent):
- Work with the Operating,
Engineering & Maintenance teams to understand/scope out work requests
- Strong mechanical aptitude and
skills
- Understands how to read
P&ID’s / Piping Diagrams and other technical documents
- Troubleshooting and repair of
state-of-the-art papermaking and packaging equipment including high speed
servo drives and robotics
- Understanding of process and
steam piping and its regulations
- Reading blue print and sketches
proficiently to fabricate equipment and make modifications
- Manage employee and contractors
for shutdowns and project work including periodic contact with vendors and
suppliers for equipment information
- Responsible for installation,
maintenance and repair of machinery, electrical and mechanical equipment
- Machine troubleshooting,
repair, assembly, predictive and preventative maintenance
General Qualifications:
Qualifications are subject to variation based on
role requirements
- Electrical certification from a
trade school, college, or formal technical education or Journeyman status
- Demonstrated mechanical
aptitude, including experience working with tools and /or equipment
- Experience working in a
manufacturing environment specifically pulp & paper industry is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and
troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with computers and
technology
- Knowledge of JD Edwards work
order system is a plus
- For Electricians and E&I
Technicians control systems experience preferred
- Must be able to perform shift
work on rotation which includes nights and weekends
