HR Business Partner - Contract (12 months)

 

Midland Transport Limited has become a leader in the transportation industry by providing superior quality service to our customers.  Our services include LTL, T/L, Courier Services, and Third Party Logistics/ Brokerage which provide the convenience of one-stop shipping.

 

Midland Transport is currently seeking a full-time Human Resources Business Partner – 12 Month Term reporting to the Director, Human Resource at Head Office, Dieppe, NB. The selected candidate will be high energy self-starter with a strong work ethic and a “Can Do” attitude.

 

Qualifications:


• Post-secondary degree with a focus on Human Resources required
• CPHR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ work experience in a Human Resources role
• Professional demeanor and confidentiality are a must
• Ability to multitask while remaining flexible and managing shifting priorities
• Demonstrated problem solving, judgment and decision making ability
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational, communication and time management skills
• Excellent computer skills and proficient knowledge of MS Office


Key Responsibilities:


• Provide expertise and hands-on support in a broad range of HR functions including:
o Employee engagement
o Recruitment
o Performance management
o Learning and development
o Compensation, recognition
o Employee relations
o Disability management and return to work processes
• Provide reporting and analytics to the business in relation to workforce metrics
• Maintain employee data in HRIS system
• Other duties as assigned
