We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated professional to join our organization in the role of Learning & Development Manager located at our Corporate office at 100 Midland Drive, Dieppe, New Brunswick.  


Reporting to the Director of Culture, Learning and Development, the Learning & Development Manager is responsible for the design, development and delivery of the enterprise’s Emerging Talent development programs - Recent Graduates and Future Leaders - ensuring the timely delivery of training programs, managing the communications with managers and leaders, and the identification, development and communication with Mentors for the programs.  The provisions of coaching, mentoring and guidance to identified Emerging Talent participants is a critical part of this role.  The successful candidate will also be responsible for delivering Korn Ferry Learning Agility and Assessment of Leadership Potential assessment tools, providing feedback on results and preparing development plans and career paths.


Further Responsibilities for the position include:

  • Working closely with Managers, Leaders and Business HR Partners, you will be responsible for ensuring that development plans and critical experiences are executed for identified employees and facilitate regular feedback on performance and development between all stakeholders.
  • Coach Managers and Leaders in the most effective strategies to engage and lead the Emerging Talent Programs.
  • Support Emerging Talent participants in the creation of their individual career and development plans, facilitating and providing feedback on content and progression across all stakeholders, i.e. Employee, Manager, Mentor, Business HR.
  • Manage, identify, train and support the Mentors and Managers for the Emerging Talent, ensuring regular Check-Ins occur, provide feedback to all stakeholders on progress, issues and needs of Emerging Talent to ensure highest level of engagement, success and retention.
  • Support the Director - Culture, Learning and Development on other cross business projects as required.
  • Manage the day to day responsibilities and development of the Emerging Talent Coordinator.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills for the position include:

  • Undergraduate Degree, preferably in human resources, adult education or business.
  • 8+ years’ experience, preferably in an advisory role.
    • Effective coaching knowledge and experience specifically with Generations Y and Z is preferred.
    • Human Resources experience is desirable, either in a Specialist or Business Partner role.  
    • Business or Operational Management experience would be considered an asset as well.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong consulting and influencing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain personal and professional credibility with different levels of leadership and across different generations.
  • High attention to detail with an ability to manage many stakeholders and numerous different requests simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative working relationships at all levels of the organization.
