SYSTEMS SPECIALIST

LOCATION: SAINT JOHN, MONCTON, FREDERICTON, NB

The Systems Specialist is a collaborative member of the Cloud and Data Center team This position will collaborate with the Infrastructure Design team to deliver products and solutions. They will also support and maintain lifecycle on services and solutions that are in place, as well as to satisfy business and operational requirements through the efficient use of internally established and industry best practices. As a leader in technology, this position will drive adherence to leading best practices, drive standardization, and provide leadership and oversight to implementation in an agile framework.

The successful candidate will need to pass rigorous security clearances. All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). 

Your Focus:

·     Deliver on KTLO, Security Access Requests (SARs), Incident and Service Requests

·     Fault, Event and Performance Monitoring​  

·     Execute on Repeatable Builds​  

·     Manage and Execute on Risks and Vulnerabilities​  

·     Process Improvement​ of infrastructure support processes for all Tiered support levels  

·     Process Automation​  

·     Provide coaching and mentoring, and share technical knowledge, skills, and expertise in an efficient and supportive manner

·     Provide end-to-end leadership, planning, workload estimation, organizing, and implementation of products and solutions

·     Execute and support the implementation of infrastructure products and solutions

·     Establish leading practices and policies for implementing, configuring, maintaining, operating, and securing infrastructure

·     Conduct research based on requirements and develop recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards

·     Monitor and analyze capacity and performance on the environment and recommend enhancements to meet new or changing infrastructure demands

·     Participate in an on-call rotation to serve and support our customers

You Have:

·     A university Degree, College Diploma

·     3-8 Years of Experience in IT Environments (Systems) 

·      Certifications (Any); Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, Microsoft Certified Azure Expert, Microsoft Certified DevOps Expert is Required

·       Knowledge or Experience in Systems; Active Directory (AD), AD Federated Services (ADFS), Server OS (Windows/Linux), Virtualization

·       Knowledge in Enterprise Storage (SAN, FCIP), Enterprise Backup Services (Data Domain, Networker, Avamar)

·       Sound Understanding of Industry Leading Practices

·     ITIL Foundations Certification
