Commercial Project Coordinator
Kent Homes is accepting applications for a Commercial Project Coordinator.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment and demonstrate a willingness to work in a fast-paced ever-changing atmosphere. The candidate must be hardworking, a self-starter and team player with a strong work ethic.
In business since 1957, Kent Homes is one of the largest home builders and mobile shelter rental companies in Atlantic Canada. We have 150,000 square feet of space dedicated to building quality homes year-round. We serve remote, rural, and urban centers throughout Atlantic Canada and Ontario.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Ability to identify problems, develop solutions and make decisions
- Understanding on safety standards and guidelines;
- Ability to enforce safe work habits in the field;
- Assist Project Manager with tender process, budgeting, costing, and forecasts.
- Construction trade coordination;
- Willingness to travel;
- Assist with procurement of materials and equipment;
- Preparation of quality control and project close-out documentation;
- Assist in estimation preparation;
- Assist in day-to-day tasks in the office and field;
- Preparation of progress reports and related documentation;
- Coordinate project schedule, monitor deadlines;
- Ability to work under tight deadlines;
- Understanding of wood construction practices;
- Other duties as assigned.

Education / Other requirements:
- Applicable post-secondary education (diploma/certificate, or other);
- Adept in MS Office suite with a primary focus in Excel;
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Projects
- Construction Knowledge & experience
- Other organizational software
