Talent Acquisition Manager

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to be based out of our Head-Office location in Dieppe, NB. The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a "Can Do" attitude.

 

Whether you want to round out your understanding of human resource management or strengthen your core competency in Talent Acquisition, we invite you to explore a role that gives you exposure and accountability for people supervision and recruitment, data analytics and reporting, social media and branding, KPIs and metrics, budget and constraint management, and Canada Labour Code compliance.

 

Key Activities/Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of all direct and dotted-line recruitment resources at Midland
  • Utilize world-class recruiting techniques to maintain a consistent pipeline of candidates minimizing 3rd party recruiting costs.
  • Develop and implement creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of candidates.
  • Manage full life cycle recruitment for all open positions (post, source, prescreen, schedule, background, references, offer and onboarding).
  • Coaching, strategic and analytical skills would be a requirement
  • Reporting on recruitment activities

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree – Business, Engineering, Humanities
  • MBA would be an asset
  • Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation (or willingness to obtain)

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years recruiting management experience in a high-volume, exempt and non-exempt environment or similar experience managing complex projects/work environments with a diverse employee population.
  • Agency and corporate experience is a plus.
  • Recruitment contract negotiation or experience administering third party agreements
  • Ability to create diverse and creative solutions for sourcing skilled/semi-skilled, and exempt candidates
