DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Finance will be based out of 909 Champlain Street, Dieppe, NB and will be a key member of the Leadership team, responsible for providing strategic financial leadership to the organization, ensuring excellence in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, oversight and stewardship for all aspects of the Company’s financial operations.
 
The successful candidate must be an experienced and proven leader with a professional designation in accounting. Having held a similar role in the past and ideally having a minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience analyzing complex financial information, you are comfortable communicating in a clear and concise manner. You are very curious, have excellent financial acumen and operational understanding and in addition, you are a hands-on people leader with respect to the work and projects you undertake.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial and analytics management and strategic analysis/ planning
• Coordination and delivery of regular financial reports to the management team
• Analyze the financial performance of the organization to maintain organizational focus on operational goals, budgets, and forecasts
• Oversee, guide and advance the organization’s reporting, data and analysis capabilities with an aim of driving competitiveness, identifying opportunities, addressing challenges and optimizing our operations both internally and externally through data-driven insights
• Divisional cash management and forecasting
• Budget preparation and analysis, including business forecasting and long range strategic planning
• Lead and mentor the finance/accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Education Required:
  • Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)
• Years of Experience Required: 
  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 to 10+ years’ experience at the management level
• Experience managing a finance or accounting team
• High attention to detail with a strategic focus
• Strong analytical skills
• Outgoing with strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence
• Ability to manage multiple objectives (deadline oriented)
• Must possess an understanding of operating processes, and have a good knowledge of information technology capabilities
• Demonstrated leadership, relationship management and communication skills are essential
