HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST

The Job:

  • Collaborate with operations to drive employee engagement, proactively manage employee relations and build high performing teams.
  • Provide guidance, direction and advice to operational business partners regarding employment issues including company policies and all aspects of the HR function.
  • Work with talent acquisition specialist with facilitating recruitment needs for the site.
  • Facilitate and transition candidates to employee with onboarding activities.
  • Responsible for site payroll and accuracy of weekly activity.
  • Execute the Workforce Plan by taking a consultative approach with Hiring Managers to identify and understand requirements.
  • Execute corporate and divisional HR strategies to drive continuous improvements and best HR practices.
  • Support the delivery and deployment of HR programs and processes and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Anticipate barriers to success and facilitate proactive resolutions that support a performance driven culture.
  • Use judgment supported by human resource acumen and practical experience to escalate matters as required.
  • Ensure that the interests of employees and company are considered in accordance with policies and applicable government laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrate and live the JDI Values in everyday decision making.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of HR practices and employment laws.
  • Proficient with technology and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with employees, candidates and leaders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated capability to work on multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency to execute and deliver results.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter
