Strategic Sourcing Analyst

We are currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst. Strategic Sourcing Analyst works directly with Sunbury and RST Senior Leaders and Operational Teams on purchasing decisions, specification requirements, cost optimization, quality, and logistics matters.

This role is based in Saint John, New Brunswick and is a hybrid work opportunity.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining cooperative supplier working relationships on behalf of Sunbury and RST
• Using suitable suppliers based on price, quality, availability, reliability, and technical capabilities
• Work with the Operational Teams to ensure sourcing and delivery of services, parts, and supplies is performed in an efficient, safe, and timely manner
• Negotiating price, terms, conditions, and service deliverables with suppliers
• Evaluate supplier quality, cost, and delivery performance
• Enable business leaders to make informed decisions by providing options and recommendations based on data and analysis
• Creating purchase orders and monitoring transportation of purchased goods
• Expedite materials and services, as required, to meet project deadlines
• Facilitate issue resolution with suppliers
• Develop and maintain supplier contracts
• Take part in Procurement on call support rotation

We are looking for someone who has:

• Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal
• Ability to perform work with sound judgment, accuracy, confidentiality, and promptness
• Negotiation experience
• High energy team player, with a positive can-do attitude, flexible an adaptable to change
• Results oriented with attention to detail
• Understanding of procurement processes including request for proposal (RFP) preparation, and evaluation
• Knowledge of the trucking industry, post-secondary education and procurement work experience are assets.
