Parts Manager

 

Universal Truck and Trailer is Atlantic Canada's largest heavy duty truck and trailer dealership featuring the most up-to-date dealer service bays in Southern New Brunswick.  We are an authorized sales, service, parts & warranty dealership for premium products including Freightliner and Western Star.  In addition, we service all makes and models for class 6, 7 and 8 vehicles, including luxury class RV's.

 

We focus on delighting our customers through continuously developing our team.

 

We currently have an opening at our head office in Dieppe for a Parts Manager.  Reporting to the General Manager, the role is responsible for revenue generation and to ensure commercial rigor to successfully deliver.  With profitable growth in mind, the successful candidate will have a strong sense of business development.  

 

Key Responsibilities & Duties


  • Develop and execute an annual business plan for parts by category with a focus on product development, marketing, sales, overall growth & long-term strategies
  • Achieve results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results and coaching employees
  • Develop and foster trusting relationships with vendors to not only access new products but optimize pricing and quality on all products
  • Monitor internal processes as they relate to the procurement function to ensure all areas of spend are effectively managed
  • Analyze data and insights to capitalize on industry and consumer trends along with inventory forecasting
  • Establish and manage revenues, gross margin targets and departmental budgets
  • Develop pricing and promotional strategies for the categories
  • Advance market position through collaboration with our sales team
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed to align safety compliance
Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Education in Technical/Mechanical, Commerce or related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in procurement
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing business plans
  • Energetic and passionate for superior customer service with the ability to empower and engage teams to achieve results
  • Skilled in leading change
