MANAGER, SALES & MARKETING

 

Juniper Organics Limited,  a horticultural growing media producer owned and operated in Atlantic Canada, is recruiting for a Manager, Sales & Marketing for our New Brunswick operations.  

 

Reporting to the General Manager of Juniper Organics Limited, the Manager, Sales and Marketing leads the development and execution of the company’s sales plan in support of the strategic business plan.  The Manager identifies and develops target markets, key accounts, and individual prospects to reach revenue targets.  To ensure the product offering remains competitive and innovative, the Manager will identify trends and opportunities in the horticulture market.  The Manager also develops and manages the sales team and its resources to achieving revenue goals as well as grow customer satisfaction and retention.

The Manager achieves results by proactively generating new revenue streams and partnering closely with operational leaders to deliver on changing customer requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments while showing a keen attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to customer service excellence and quality.

 

You will bring:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent combination of experience. Preference given to candidates with education and/or work experience in plant sciences, horticulture, or agriculture.
  • Prior sales experience preferred but not required. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel, mostly within eastern North America.
  • Ability to efficiently organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer proficiency 

 

You will deliver:

  • Achieve growth and meet revenue targets by successfully managing the sales process
  • Design and implement a sales plan that both maintains and expands company’s customer base
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of independent sales representatives.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Develop sales revenue and expenses budget, forecasts and reports for the management team
  • Identify emerging markets and trends while being fully aware of new products and competitive landscape.

 

Sales and Business Development:

  • Lead new product development process, working with the operating team to incorporate cost and capital considerations.
  • Manage sales pipeline to ensure forecasted revenues are achieved.
  • Be the primary contact on all major retail accounts both domestic and international
  • Be the primary contact for all US sales representatives
  • Lead annual and periodic sales forecasting process

 

Customer Service/Operations:

  • Primary contact for both internal / external customers to ensure high quality customer service
  • Account Management
  • Responsible for the Sales and Shipping Process from Forecasting to Invoicing
  • Understand the product cost structure and use same for new business quotes
  • Actively participate in customer and industry trade shows
  • Proactively work with the sales reps on developing new business
  • Responsible for company website, packaging design, and promotional materials
