Brand Manager, Scotties

Irving Consumer Products produces branded and private label bathroom tissue, facial tissue, paper towels, as well as napkins.

The Brand Manager is responsible for the execution and analysis of brand programs along with leading both short and long term strategic brand planning involving multiple marketing touch points, and post program analysis and evaluation.


  • Education Required: University degree; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years brand management experience in CPG; Ideally 5+ years.
  • Experienced in AC Nielsen data and working with financials.
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting up to senior level audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to build business cases based on insights and data.
  • Results oriented and wants to win.
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute annual marketing plan, delivering on time and ensuring effective communication to all stakeholders.
  • Build online, digital and CRM support programs.
  • Develop and execute full 360 plans that include effective use of media and program budgets.
  • Develop long-term strategies that will drive brand share & equity based on consumer insights and U&A linked to Scotties Tissue strategy.
  • Map out 2 year commercial brand plans and 5 year strategic plans.
  • Work with the sales team to develop and maintain a brand “playbook” focusing on optimal products, programs, pricing strategies & merchandising recommendations along with customized opportunities that allow us to win account by account.
  • Assist on the online selling initiative.
  • Review SKUs, formats and financials to maximize results.
  • Work with Supply Chain to align Scotties programs and executional timelines.
  • Lead and motivate agency marketing team to assist us in delivering all objectives on time and on budget.
  • Develop omni-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Manage, track, and deliver on Marketing spending budget
