The Team Leader, Electrical & Instrumentation will be based out of Macon, Georgia (1897 Allen Road, 31216) and is a high profile and strategically important role at our site. The role is key to our reliable process automation and systems performance. Primarily focused on leadership of the Electrical and Instrumentation team members, the Site Electrical and Instrumentation Leader will lead a department of 20+ skilled technicians to improve the overall equipment reliability of the asset base. In addition, working with the support of the Electrical Engineering department, the position is responsible for the long-term improvement and/or replacement of mill wide electrical control systems. The Site Electrical and Instrumentation Leader, working in concert with the Site Reliability Leader and Site Mechanical Team Leaders will provide leadership and support for long term program enhancements in the areas of asset criticality analysis, FMEA, planning, scheduling, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, precision maintenance, downtime analysis, basic care, and root cause analysis. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Job Requirements
- BS in an Electrical Engineering/Electrical Engineering Technology discipline or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment is required with electrical maintenance supervision experience preferred
- Strong technical skills; hands-on; possesses ability and willingness to help solve problems- experience in conducting Root Cause Failure Analysis of electrical issues is a plus
- Ability to engage, teach, mentor, coach, develop, delegate, and follow up
- Enjoys fast pace with multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work in a team environment; engages others (staff, operators, craft workers, engineers, OEM’s, and contractors) effectively in dealing with problems and solutions
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office programs is required
- Analytical and detail-oriented with a high level of commitment and self-motivation
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with experience in PLC’s, servo drives, DCS, and HMI’s (preferably Rockwell)
- Working knowledge of a computerized maintenance management system is required; JD Edwards experience is a plus
- Ensure the safe behaviors and safety compliance of the crews
- Develop training plans for the technicians to achieve higher levels of skill, and ensure all technologies are covered with experts and back-ups
- Improving daily productivity of the maintenance technicians
- Managing employee schedules (vacations, shift coverage, training, etc.)
- Manage the quality and effectiveness of maintenance work
- Manage planning, scheduling, and work execution
- Facilitate and manage the employee selection and orientation process
- Audit work quality and effectiveness
- Track and manage key performance indicators for area of responsibility
- Develop a climate which encourages the participation and involvement of all employees
- Lead in a manner consistent with the Companies Values at all times
- Ensure that employees are aware of expectations and are accountable for sustaining continuous improvement initiatives and plans
