Irving Consumer Products produces branded and private label bathroom tissue, facial tissue, paper towels, as well as napkins. Our manufacturing facilities are located in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Toronto, Ontario, Fort Edward, New York, and Macon, Georgia.

Irving Consumer Products is seeking a Vice President Process Excellence and Transformation.  This critical role will lead and support the growth of our consumer products division. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the rigor and commitment to the Irving Management System within the Head Office and Sales Group.  In addition, this role will act as a business partner by identifying and driving process improvements for greater efficiency, speed of delivery, and cost savings. This is a full-time permanent role. The language of work will be English.

As an Executive Leader, the Vice President Process Excellence and Transformation will also serve on the JD. Irving Moncton Group Process Excellence Council. The main work location for this position will be at the Irving Consumer Products Head Office in Dieppe with occasionally travel requirements to Irving Consumer Products facilities in Canada and the United States.


The Key Responsibilities for this opportunity include:

  • Project Initiatives using the Super 7 Process Improvement Plan
  • Through partnership with Senior Management, achievement of targeted improvement rates through management of Lean/Sigma improvement initiatives, resources, and execution using the DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, and control) and Project Management methodology.

o    Execute Improvement Projects within, between, and across Irving Consumer Products.

o    Manage Portfolio of Division/Business Initiatives – Execute the Super 7 process improvement plans.

  • Building Leader's Continuous Improvement Competencies within the Irving Consumer Products Head Office and Sales Group.  Maintain an appropriate level and mix of Project Managers and Belts (Master Black Belt/Black Belt/Green Belt/Yellow Belt Ratio). Including coaching, project execution, facilitation, training, and development of materials to assist in continuous improvement.
  • Irving Consumer Products Division Process Excellence Champion.  Establish an Irving Consumer Product division process improvement discipline.  Establish and maintain division work process architecture. Identify, prioritize, and resource process improvement initiatives.  Lead change management and calculate ROI (return on investment).
  • Irving Group Moncton Process Excellence Council.  Act as the liaison for Irving Consumer Products at the corporate level.  Identify process best practice synergies across divisions, tools, and other enablers to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning Champion. Drive the organization in accomplishing the critical Enterprise Resource Planning project plans.  Work alongside IT Division to lead the effort on translating business requirements into functional and technical solutions.  Determines areas of overlap and opportunities for synergies with business by working with all subject matter experts to ensure operational effectiveness. 



  • Experience in leading successful change management projects.
  • Candidates must have at least 20 years of progressive leadership experience including at least 10 years of senior leadership experience within or relating to the tissue manufacturing industry.
  • Candidate must be able to show ability to work cross functionally across multiple business lines.
  • Experience leading manufacturing facilities, processes improvement initiatives and corporate initiatives in manufacturing industry
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma 


Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Business Degree or Technical Engineering Degree
  • Master's degree preferred.
