INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN 

NORTHERN NEW BRUNSWICK

J.D. Irving, Limited is currently looking for motivated individuals for Industrial Electrician positions in various sawmills. Local applicants or candidates open to relocation are encouraged to apply.

The work:

• Ability to read and understand diagrams, plans and specifications.
• Perform installation, verification and repair of cables, sockets, boxes, conduits, among others, electrical industrial control systems devices and their devices.
• Perform preventive maintenance of systems and their devices.
• Ability to use specialized equipment and software and quickly diagnose the disease, while complying with occupational health and safety laws.
• Work collaboratively with the management, production and maintenance team.

Your qualifications:

• Education required: Industrial or Construction Electrician Diploma (Bloc 1+)
• Possessing your Red Seal is an asset,
• Year of experience required: 2 to 5 years in electricity in an industrial environment would be an asset,
• Knowledge or experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and various control systems would be an asset.
• Bilingual – an asset,
• Demonstrate an interest in wanting to continue learning and progressing in the electrician/programmer trade and to be on the lookout for new developments in the field.
• Be prepared to work day and night shifts. As well as weekends as needed,
• Meets JDI’s selection criteria.
