Job Summary:


The AP/Procurement Administrator is responsible for supporting Accounts Payable and Purchasing Department in many areas.  


 Key Responsibilities

  • The main Contact for head Office, Plant Personnel and Suppliers to find resolution to Invoices and RNI issues, using Automation Systems and JD Edwards 
  • Responsible to have pre-paid freight on PO invoices approved and coded in Basware comments.
  •  Responsible to email all invoices and employee manual expense reports to the Accounts Payable mailbox for processing.
  • Responsible to Send Courier Packages to Head Office
  • Responsible to collect W9’s and W8Ben from vendors.
  • Site Resource for New Supplier set-up – Appian Requests and sending new vendor set-up package to suppliers.
  •  Responsible to send out EFT forms to suppliers
  • Responsible to fill out and get approval on manual check requests.
  • Assist both Buyers and Storeroom in a variety of tasks.
  • Acknowledgement of purchase orders
  • Assistance with new storeroom set-up/changing vendors with changes to item master, enter new item #’s in catalog, update item cross reference tables.
  • Receiving of Purchase Orders in Enterprise One/JDE system per direction from requisitioned services/goods complete/received.


 Job requirements:

  1. Post-Secondary Education in Accounting or equivalent experience
  2. Business Technology Program would be an asset

  3.  Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience is required


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced Excel skills is required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently and with a team
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic working environment
  • Ability to deal effectively with suppliers and internal customers
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
