BUSINESS ANALYST


 

Custom Fabricators and Machinists (CFM) is an integrated provider of technical products and services to the world’s most demanding industries. We manufacture, service, and support our customers highly specialized systems. We have multiple facilities in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia to serve our customers in Atlantic Canada, the North Eastern US, and the World.

 

We are currently accepting resumes for a Business Analyst position located in Saint John, New Brunswick. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic setting and be results-orientated. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Accounting, Finance or a Business-related field.
  • Professional accounting designation (or willingness to pursue) would be considered an asset. Other relevant designations will be considered
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • 3 years of Finance experience required

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finance owner for all aspects of business and integral part of Leadership Team.
  • Perform financial forecasting, budgeting and predictive financial analysis for the business to make business decisions; developing recommendations for adjustments and improvements.
  • Management of business cash balances, including management and improvement of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory.
  • Leverage data and analytics to identify opportunity areas and proactively bring forward recommendations to improve business results.
  • Responsible for weekly and period variance analysis, KPI reporting and balance scorecard review for General Manager and Leadership Team.
  • Driving improvement on various aspects of the business: Cost management, inventory management, margin improvements, working capital, capital investment decisions, administrative efficiencies, etc. 
  • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting to help support business decisions.
