Midland Transport is looking for a motivated individual to work as a Cash Entry Clerk based in our Head Office Location in Dieppe, NB. The Cash Entry Clerk is responsible for accurate payment entry/posting of all transport and courier shipments, and for balancing with the bank. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, a self-starter with a strong work ethic and someone who enjoys working with numbers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School diploma
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced Team environment
- Open to change and always finding ways to improve processes
- Thrives at prioritizing, multitasking, and staying organized
- Strong computer skills
- Proficient working with Microsoft Office including Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Adobe
- Knowledge in AS400/Tell & FACTS/CLI systems would be an asset
- Bilingual (English & French) would be an asset
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate daily posting of payments per customer remittance
- Preparation of daily bank deposits
- Pulling remittance back-up for internal and external customers
- Answer credit card phone line and taking payments
- Balance against the bank
- Write up and post cash adjustments when required
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned by Supervisor
