J.D. Irving, Limited, Sawmills Division is currently seeking a Chief Power Engineer to join our leadership team, reporting directly to the Mill Manager.
Qualifications:
- Education Required:
- Trade Certification or Associate's Degree
- 1st Class Power Engineer Certification is required
- Year of Experience Required 7-10 years
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and analytical skills
- The ability to supervise and direct the activities of others
- Experience in drying lumber is an asset
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership of a team of 12 people, Power Engineers and Loader Operators, in the safe and efficient operation
- Maintenance of 9 lumber dry kilns, 3 boilers, boiler plant auxiliaries and material handling
