CHIPPER OPERATOR - NORTHERN MAINE

We are looking for motivated individuals to contribute to the Forest Products group as a Chipper Operator.
Qualifications:
•Operation of forestry gear
•Understanding of general environmental and forestry practices
•Ability to work 50-60hours per week
•Flexible to work weekends when needed
•Reliable transportation
•Flexible to work in various environments
•Good communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
•Operations:
•Assisting/Operating the chipper as part of 3 person team
•General maintenance
•Advanced maintenance around chipper
•Escalate issues promptly for proper resolution
•Safety
•Knowledge of good safe practices
•General knowledge and practice of PPE
•Follow all workplace and job safety procedures
•Communicate operational information as required
•Perform/coordinate housekeeping to maintain to required standard
•Perform other duties as required and serve as a back-up resource as needed.
