Job Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program pursing a bachelor’s degree in a field of engineering
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Must be 18 years of age
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
- Perform data mining, six sigma exercises, and structured problem solving.
- Complete projects in various departments that may include with use of lean tool such as Standard Work, 5s, Kanban, Changeover reduction, Error Proofing and Visual Management.
- Monitor work on shop floor or office for evidence of waste and non-value-added activity that impedes the flow of material or information. Conduct audits and report findings.
- Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain PowerPoint presentations
- Take notes and memos during improvement workshops; type documents, drafts, and reports; sort and manage files
- Manage databases and input information, data, and records
- Attend company functions and networking event
- Co-op fee reimbursement up to $1000, if eligible
