J.D. Irving, Limited is currently seeking motivated individuals for Continuous Improvement Specialist located in our Head Office in Saint John, N.B.
As a key resource to the Continuous Improvement team, the successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and detail. In this position, you will work with the various key stakeholders in our businesses as required.
Qualifications:
- Education Required: Post-secondary Degree in a Business, Engineering, or equivalent
- 3-5 years of related experience - preference being a lean workplace
- Experience working with PowerBI or other data visualization and analytics tools would be considered an asset
- Proven track record of innovation, ingenuity, attention to detail, ownership and willingness to seek and take on challenges
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to analyze problems/opportunities for efficiencies and make recommendations for improvements
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or willingness to obtain
- Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Key Responsibilities:
- Aid in executing CI initiatives within Corporate and operating divisons
- Provide coaching for process improvement using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Lead and facilitate improvement projects and workshops
- Serve as a data and/or analytic resource for initiative based teams
