CUSTOMER ACCOUNT COORDINATOR- 1 YEAR TERM

 

Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States, and around the world. We have state-of-the-art potato processing plants in Prince Edward Island, Lethbridge, Alberta, and Jamestown, North Dakota, and an appetizer plant in Wheatley, Ontario. Our Head office is in Dieppe, New Brunswick and has sales office locations in Toronto, Montreal, and Boston. 

 

Reporting to the Customer Services Manager, the Customer Account Coordinator will be responsible for entering, processing, and verifying all customer orders to ensure shipped complete and on time. The successful candidate will need to troubleshoot potential problems and resolve issues when they arise. The candidate will be responsible for making any necessary changes to the orders and will deal with associated departments: Pricing, Shipping, Planning, Deployment, and Transportation in order to process orders. The successful candidate will need to build strong relationship with Sales and the Customer.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum post-secondary or equivalent; related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to quickly reason and solve practical problems
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively compile reports and write correspondence
  • Proficient in working and conversing in both official languages is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated self-starter and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Strong customer orientation (friendly, courteous and helpful)
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Outlook and Excel)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer orders and verifies stock levels to confirm accuracy for perfect order fulfillment straight through to delivery
  • Follow up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates and verify invoicing is completed
  • Troubleshoot potential problems and resolve issues which arise
  • Partner with the Sales Team to meet and exceed the customer’s service expectations
  • Confer with production, planning, shipping, warehouse, transportation, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing, delayed shipments or “at risk” shipments
  • Making changes/revisions to orders, if required
  • Communicate and work with customers to solve issues
