Data Solutions Developer

Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia   

Your Focus: 

• Designing, developing, and implementing Enterprise Data Warehousing, ETL and real-time/ batch data exchanges and working with related technologies such as SSIS and Azure Data Factory.​
• Should know how to deal with structured and semi-structured data, with knowledge of RDBMS Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud environment with data related services. Hands on experience in SQL Server, Azure Synapse, or Azure Data Lake is considered an asset. (AWS or GCP experience is also considered an asset)​
• Supporting DWH tools such as Wherescape RED. (Experience with Data Manager, Data Stage, Informatica or any other ETL tool is also considered)​
• Debugging and Troubleshooting, Monitoring ETL's and providing support.​
• Supporting reporting tools and services such as Power BI and Tableau.​
• Communicate and translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand language for our business and stakeholders.​

You have:  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related field​
• 5-10 yr. experience in ETL and working on RDBMS. ​
• Experience designing Cloud DWH and Data Models​
• Attention to detail, problem solving skills, interpersonal skills, team player.​
• Data and process driven​

Nice to have: 

• Experience deploying ETL solutions with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience in Power BI.
•  Azure DP-200, 201, or 203 certification.
