Reporting to the G.M., the Director of Business Improvement will work closely and collaboratively with Senior Leadership while leading the Business Improvement team.

Based in Moncton, NB this position will be responsible to drive continuous Business Improvement throughout Midland.

  • Education Required: Bachelor's Degree preferably in Management, Business, or Engineering.
  • Years of Experience Required: 5+ years of relevant experience in business improvement. Leadership experience an asset
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred, Minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Change Management Certification or equivalent experience in leading and managing significant organizational change initiatives
  • Experienced in developing and delivering presentations
  • Highly enthusiastic and ambitious
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior-level audiences
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience leading, coaching and motivating people
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • A strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide thought leadership on BI infrastructure, program development, and implementation across the companies
  • Work closely with and manage the BI team
  • Link BI capability building to Leadership Development to improve overall business and people leadership and BI competency throughout the workforce
  • Provide coaching to Belt Certification candidates
  • Build capability of BI team and those within the operation
  • Establish and apply best industry practices
  • Continuously seek and identify key areas of opportunities
  • Work on multiple projects at any given point in time & support projects across the enterprise
