We’re seeking a Dry Storage Supervisor to take pride in our peerless workplace and take charge of the maintenance and care of our teams. Accountable for ensuring inventory accuracy and the organization and cleanliness of the workspace, the successful candidate will be someone comfortable with taking charge and overseeing various departments. In keeping with our culture of teamwork, the Dry Storage Supervisor will work in tandem with different departmental leads, acting in cooperation and support with associates from across our enterprise.

Overseeing the unionized forklift operators and assisting in customer-related audits, the Dry Storage Supervisor will showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills, while keeping the workplace running efficiently. The buck stops with you—are you up for the challenge?

The successful candidate will possess a combination of the following:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;

  • Ability to multi-task;

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflict;

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office;

  • A proven track record of being pro-active and taking initiative; 

  • Post-secondary education in one of the following disciplines: agriculture, food science, business, engineering, or operations management.

  • Food Safety

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise dry storage hourly employees.

  • Ensure inventory accuracy of all process supplies, packaging materials, batters and blends. 

  • Order processing supplies (i.e. tape, machine wrap, totes & liners).

  • Management of packaging shed – to ensure QA, audit and customer requirements.

  • Enforcement of good manufacturing receiving procedures and ensuring that all inbound raw materials trailers are unloaded in a timely manner to minimize freight and storage charges.

  • Implement and enforce standard operating instructions and procedures for dry storage staff to minimize damages and waste.

  • Foster and maintain a positive environment by ensuring that all employees, customers and vendors are treated with respect.

  • Ensure cleanliness of dry goods and batter storage area at all times.

  • Ensure FIFO is being followed at all times.

  • Other duties as required.

  • Report food safety and quality issues to personnel with authority to initiate actions.
