Financial Data & Business Analyst Opportunities
Fall 2024 Co-Op Work Term
We are currently seeking three (3) students to join our Finance Shared Services and Accounting Teams in Saint John, New Brunswick, for the Fall 2024 Co-Op Work Term (September to December).
Our Finance team has over 200 finance professionals supporting our diverse group of Companies. We have a long-standing Student Work Term Program focused on providing students with hands on experience in a progressive future focused finance team. We are a proud CPA (Chartered Professional Account) Training Program office.
The Finance Shared Services team provides transactional, payroll, credit, treasury, data analysis and client services to the J.D. Irving, Limited group of Companies. The student opportunities will provide exposure to these financial services areas.
The Financial Accounting & Reporting analyst position provides you with an excellent opportunity to gain exposure in the accounting field with a large and diversified company. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the team’s accountants and gain hands on experience in a fast-paced environment.
What you can expect:
- Work as part of a team focused on data analysis and data visualization
- Gain exposure and hands on learning to Tableau, Alteryx & Power BI
- Assist with project work, and process improvements
- Review of data and provide insights for opportunities for improvement
- Assist in supporting Management and implementation of Finance initiatives
Work Term Student Qualifications:
- University Business/Commerce Degree Student in Good Academic Standing (Please attach University Transcript to your Application)
- Available for the Fall 2024 Co-op Work Term Period
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on MS Excel
- Team Player with a Can-Do Attitude
- Strong Communicator
- Curious with a Process Improvement Mindset
- Long Term Career interest in Finance and/or Analytics
