Harvesting Supervisor
HARVESTING & OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR - WOODLANDS DIVISION
Irving Woodlands LLC, a leader in the East Coast forest products industry known for its commitment to quality products, service, and sound environmental management, is seeking a Harvesting / Operations Supervisor for our woodlands operation.
Qualifications:
- Education Required:
- Forestry Degree or Trade Certification
- A licensed forester is preferred
- Formal education/training in wood harvesting and operations
- Prior work experience in an industrial forest setting is an asset.
- Must be able to work in the United States, as well as occasionally travel to Canada
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan our wood harvesting plans for our Woodlands Operation in Northern Maine .
- Implement forest prescriptions while following strict company environmental rules and policies.
- Work with contractor to execute operational plans.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are followed and met.
- Work with the latest technologies to ensure operations are managed efficiently.
- Must enjoy working in an industrial forestry environment, while focusing on continuous improvement.
