Industrial Electrical Technician
Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson
Irving Forest Products, Inc, a growing company on the leading edge of technology in the sawmill industry.
We are currently seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson for a current opportunity. We are looking for safety oriented, energetic individuals to join our team!
Qualifications:
- Education Required: Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or an equivalent degree
- Years of Experience preferred:
- 2-5 years of experience in an industrial setting
- Strong troubleshooting abilities with electrical controls, power distribution (high and low voltage), programmable logic controllers and variable frequency drives is essential
- Able to read and understand electrical drawings
- Ability to work rotating shift
- Previous sawmill experience is considered as asset
- Ability to work independently or part of a team a must
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all site electrical systems are maintained in good working order in an effort to maximize the efficiency of mill equipment
- Installing, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining electric motors, scanners, drives, and PLC's on equipment used in the sawmill processes
- Maintain site network, to include maintaining, upgrading and new systems
- Responding to requests from both the Production Supervisors and the Maintenance Supervisor
- Committing to and always promoting the use of safe practices

- Night Shift Differential: $2.00/hour
- Attendance Bonus: $40.00/week
