The Manager, Strategy and Customer Insights will be responsible for accelerating category and growth in our US market, leveraging foodservice market, consumer, and category insights. A successful strategy & customer insights manager will build strong, collaborative relationships with the sales teams and strategic customers - viewed as an invaluable business advisor. Your day will be spent uncovering compelling insights, creating, and delivering persuasive insight-led selling stories which link to the customer's objectives and strategies - resulting in mutual business wins.
Key Responsibilities:
Guided Insight Strategy and Execution
- Provide regular and proactive data analytics using multiple data platforms (such as industry, marketplace, menu, operator, and customer data)
- Analyzes and integrates syndicated market, customer, and proprietary data to deliver compelling and actionable insights
- Build strong trusted stakeholder relationships and serve as a partner across different internal functions to build collaborative insights and knowledge share
- As a trusted partner, you are responsible for providing regular insight reviews, trend analysis, monitor key performance indicators, support customized reports while demonstrating
- Consult with internal business partners such as sales, innovation and marketing teams, informing strategic planning, category, channel strategy and product innovation
Unlocking Customer Growth
- Deliver fully coordinated consumer, category, and market insights to guide sales and support customer growth plans and customer relevant selling solutions
- Working hand in hand with customers to advance the B2B strategy & insights agenda
- Manage and contribute to both sales and marketing presentations, leveraging storytelling
- Support the interaction with customers to evaluate category opportunities, address key business questions and help make actionable recommendations for growth
Advance Capability
- Develops strong working partnerships with service providers
- Proactively investigates and builds new insights capabilities
- Enhance and advance cross functional planning processes when or as required
- Contribute to knowledge management and insights learning agenda
Job Requirements:
- University degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field *relevant Masters is an asset
- 5+ years of insight experience (data analytics or primary research), marketing, sales functions
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods and/or the foodservice industry (research supplier or client side)
- Experience working directly with customers in developing go to market strategies and growth solutions
- Experience pulling and mining foodservice syndicated data (CREST, PotatoTrack, Technomic,Dataessentials)
- Experience working with cross function teals, including Sales
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at one time
- Ability to develop and manage critical workplans and timelines
- Experience with operator or distributer client side, is an asset
- Advanced ability to mine data to transform customer/shopper knowledge into meaningful and actionable insights
- Base acumen in primary and secondary research methodologies
- Strong storyboarding and presentation development skills
