We are currently seeking new and recent University Graduates to join our Supply Chain Team, focused on building a career in the procurement of goods and services for our diverse group of Companies. These opportunities will provide successful candidates the opportunity to develop analytical and interpersonal skills and enhance leadership capabilities to grow a career across J.D. Irving, Limited.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procure goods and services at the best price and quality
- Negotiate with vendors to secure terms
- Develop & maintain supplier contracts for both goods & services
- Lead Strategic Sourcing to Enable business leaders to make informed decisions by providing options and recommendations based on data and analysis
- Participate and lead effective vendor meetings to facilitate issue resolution and continuous improvement
Skills & Qualifications:
- May, 2024 University Graduate or Recent University Graduate
- Strong customer focus, with desire to learn the procurement process and develop solid negotiation skills
- Curious with a focus on details
- Excellent communication skills with previously demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Continuous Improvement Mindset
