RST Industries is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Operations Specialist at our Montreal, Quebec location. This position will appeal to those who like to work in a fast-paced environment, enjoy being in the field and have a high standard for their work.


  • 10 years’ experience in transportation of dangerous goods. 
  • Appropriate knowledge of safety & compliance, federal labor laws and safety codes,
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong regard for safety and following procedures. 
  • Customer service mindset.
  • Willing to travel extensively through Quebec and Eastern Ontario in Company supplied light vehicle.
  • Effective communication in both French & English,
  • Experience coaching or training other drivers is an asset.
  • Active Class 1 license and clean abstract is an asset.


  • Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager and collaborating with the dispatch team to optimize safety and productivity of our Quebec based fleet.
  • Provide leadership to drivers to help resolve issues with equipment and loads. 
  • Work closely with dispatch to resolve customer issues and to ensure RST maintains high levels of communication with customer. 
  • Communicate with customers and help resolve any potential conflict.
  • Availability to be on call to deal with emergency issues with customers or drivers.
  • Aid RST’s business development, maintenance, safety and recruitment teams by providing local knowledge and expertise in the region.
  • Work with operations staff to ensure procedures and other operational documentation is up to date.
  • Other duties as assigned with the overall goal of improving safety and productivity of RST’s operations in the region.
  • Customer and loading rack site visits to resolve any problems and to maintain good relations for RST.
  • Provide leadership to drivers during incidents, breakdowns, product handling issues or customer concerns.
  • Aid in incident investigation.
  • Development of site maps and perform audits of drivers performing deliveries
