Our manufacturing facilities are located in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Toronto, Ontario, Fort Edward, New York, and Macon, Georgia.


The Process Engineer - Paper Mill is responsible for providing process engineering support to through air-dried technology equipment and utilities processes for the Paper Mill. The position is also responsible to provide engineering leadership to operations, and to participate in the development of skill levels in operators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead single or multiple product or process improvement projects with a financial scope from conception through commercialization
  • Assist with the planning, installation and start-up of new equipment
  • Development and optimization of manufacturing equipment and processes to meet unit objectives in the areas of quality, productivity, and cost
  • Learn understand, and monitor the paper mill process, production equipment capabilities, and department Key Predictive Indicators
  • Work with operators and process technicians to develop, improve, and monitor key procedures
  • Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause
  • Manage and complete paper mill projects as required, especially those that require the interaction of multiple departments (Converting, Maintenance, Engineering, Logistics, etc.) or facilities locations

  • Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Pulp and Paper Engineering or Environmental Science.
  • Years of Experience Required: 0 to 2 years in a technical and/or operational assignment, Co-op experience or summer intern programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting up to senior level audiences
  • Experience using manufacturing analysis tools (SPC)
  • Six Sigma training considered an asset
