Irving Consumer Products produces branded and private label bathroom tissue, facial tissue, paper towels, as well as napkins.


The Product Life Cycle Specialist is responsible for managing the transition process to avoid cost and reduce raw material obsolescence. This role will track the development of new products/packaging to assist in managing all SKU transitions within Irving Consumer Products, while serving as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and other internal departments. Being able to use strong business knowledge and sound judgement to effectively assess risk and develop contingency plans will be beneficial in this position.


  • Education Required: Post-Secondary Diploma – University Degree or College.
  • Advanced computer and application skills, including expert knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills. 
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Experience working with JD Edwards considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze inventory to initiate inventory reduction opportunities
  • Compile finished goods and raw material inventories
  • Conduct weekly meetings with Packaging Managers, Site Planning, Corporate Planning, and Forecasting to discuss project/development status 
  • Develop and track KPI’s to avoid cost and reduce raw material obsolescence
  • Report current spend on monthly basis; Create awareness of packaging liabilities and associated costs; Determine yearly accruals required 
  • Actively communicate with Sales Managers; plan and propose exit strategies
