Project Coordinator

We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Project Coordinator based out of our Head Office in Saint John, NB.

Reporting to the Project Manager, your duties will include:

  • Supports and aids the construction management team in managing project activities.
  • Perform administration of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Preparing tender call documents.
  • Preparing construction contract documents.
  • Preparing cost estimates for setting of budgets for contemplated projects, and preparing cost estimates for contemplated changes to existing projects
  • Checking timelines and inventory to ensure there are no delays and interruptions in projects and operations.
  • Ensure that resources are available to the construction management team including documentation, supplies, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate the project schedule, monitor deadlines, and write status reports.
  • Setting up and administering building maintenance contracts and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Contribute to the establishing and controlling the project budget.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in engineering or construction technology and 2 years experience with a track record of success in the administration of multi-discipline (architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, structural) construction projects.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering and architectural design drawings.
  • Strong analytical skills to apply toward settlement of disputes that may arise with contractors over contractual terms and obligations.    
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel
