REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Midland Transport Limited has become a leader in the transportation industry by providing industry leading Superior Quality Service to our customers. Our services include LTL, Truckload, Courier and Third Party Logistics which provide the convenience of one-stop shipping.

 

 

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager based out of Brampton, Ontario, supporting our Ontario region. The Regional Sales Manager is a key member of the sales leadership team and will report into the Vice President of Sales. The selected candidate will be a high enery self-starter with a strong work ethic and a "Can Do" attitude.
 

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Years of Experience Required: 6-10 years’ experience in the transportation/courier industry;
  • Education Required: Successful completion of post-second education, education in Sales and Marketing an asset;
  • Major account experience is an asset;
  • Sales management experience preferred;
  • Solid LTL, Truckload and Courier transportation knowledge and experience;
  • Highly motivated and results oriented individual;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of transportation operations would be preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, coach and lead Midland’s Ontario sales team which consists of seven Account Managers;
  • Ensure sales revenue and gross margin targets are achieved;
  • Achieve revenue plan for LTL, TL, Courier and Brokerage;
  • Maintain key customer relationships while developing and implementing strategies for expanding the company's customer base in Ontario;
  • Explore new markets, services and products and development of these opportunities for revenue growth;
  • Achieve required rate increases to improve revenue quality on a continuous basis;
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement.
